The Difference Between Brackets, Braces, and Parentheses

One of the pieces of terminology that confuses beginner programmers is what to call certain characters. Several dictionaries use these names, so this book does too:

( )	Parentheses
[ ]	Brackets
{ }	Braces (Some people call these curly brackets or curly braces, but we’ll stick to just braces.)
